Alpha Omicron Pi was founded on a promise to serve not only one another but the greater community as well. This commitment reflects a philosophy of friendship, concern, and usefulness in the world.

Commitment to
Dignity

Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to
Scholarship

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Commitment to
College Loyalty

From collegiate years on through alumnae involvement, the reason AOIIs continue service is the joy of spending time together and sharing the insights learned from the relationships we build and sustain.

Letter from the President

Welcome to the Gamma Theta Chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi! We are so excited to show you why AOII will forever hold such a special place in our hearts.

With 125 years of AOII love and sisterhood, and close to 36 years here at the University of South Florida, we cannot be anything but grateful that our brave founders saw the beauty of their friendship and knew it deserved to be so much more. All four of our founding sisters came from different backgrounds and walks of life and created Alpha Omicron Pi as a place where they could become sisters. With common virtues and moralistic standards, our organization embraces our individualities and encourages each member to be the best version of herself. The five AOII sisters that began Gamma Theta saw the true beauty of the organization and knew that it was more than worthy of being shared here.

Our chapter continues to flourish and shine as we have been devoted to bettering ourselves, each other, and the community. Through numerous philanthropy events, leadership positions, service trips, and so much more, we always strive to make positive impacts on those around us and show our truly AOII centered values.

I cannot begin to tell you how glad I am that I found my true home here in Gamma Theta nearly three years ago. It has brought me the love and friendships I always wanted but did not know how deeply I needed. Each day I continue to beam with pride as I witness each sister grow and fall more in love with AOII. With the privilege and honor of serving as Chapter President I hope to see our chapter continue to grow, and impact others with our values that the world could simply not be without.

Alpha Love and All of Mine,

Emily Heyward
